Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al Ahly’s football first team medical staff, revealed that Mohamed El Shenawy started receiving medication in order to recover from his hamstring injury.
Abu Abla added that El Shenawy, our goalkeeper and captain, took a Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection on Wednesday and will be rested from Thursday's session.
Afterward, El Shenawy will start performing a special physiotherapy program in order to recover from his injury.
El Shenawy picked up a hamstring muscle injury on Monday during Egypt’s 3-0 victory over Libya in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
